The Most Magical Month to Travel

by Cheryl

We are often asked when is the best month to travel to the West. With very few exceptions, the answer is........ SEPTEMBER.

Why am I mentioning this? Because NOW is the time to reserve your campsite if you plan to visit in September. Most national park campgrounds will let people reserve campsites up to 6 months in advance online at recreation.gov

Some of our favorite National Parks to visit in September include Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and the Black Hills. If you are planning a trip, save hours of time ( and stress) with our self-guided tours. We also have some helpful blog posts for you to plan your trip

Happy Birthday Yellowstone- 150 years old!

March 1st was the birthday of our very first National Park. What a blessing it is to live in a country that makes a place like Yellowstone accessible to all.

We have a modest goal of raising enough money to pay for one bear box in Yellowstone. How much is a bear box? $2800. Donate here: https://heylink.me/wereintherockies/

Fail to Plan and You Plan to Fail by Cheryl This past October, my grandpa turned 90! Family from all over the world (Hungary, Mexico, Germany, and of course the United States) flew into Texas to celebrate this special time. It was the end of the travel season. I was burnt out from planning trips and outlining videos. I even bought my plane ticket with my personal credit card so I had no pressure to do anything YouTube related. This was a trip all about spending time with family, right? The...

The Official Kick-Off for the 2023 Travel Season has Begun by Cheryl The only constant is change and our national parks are no different. Between natural disasters, fluctuations in tourism, and vehicle reservation systems, a trip to the national parks is a bit more complex than throwing your tent in the car and hitting the road. Matt and I started writing itineraries to the parks in the West in 2020 and have since been part of helping thousands of people experience their dream trips. Even...
