Yellowstone: 150 Years [Celebration & Fundraiser]

By Matt

Yellowstone was set aside as the world's first national park on March 1, 1872. That means that this year, 2022, is Yellowstone's 150th birthday!

To celebrate its birthday, we have created a Yellowstone Travel Guide video covering every section of the park! This video will be released on our YouTube channel on February 27th, a few days prior to the 150th anniversary.

If you want to make sure you don't miss it, or any other videos, you can subscribe to our YouTube channel and turn on notifications.

But even more importantly, we want to give Yellowstone a birthday present. We are donating 5% of all Yellowstone guide sales to the Yellowstone's official nonprofit partner, Yellowstone Forever.

Because the park is always underfunded by congress, it relies on Yellowstone Forever to help it maintain trails, manage wildlife, and build bear boxes, among other things.

Our goal is to raise enough money to give the park a bear box for its birthday. Not all campgrounds have bear boxes, which help save bear lives by them out of trouble like entering campgrounds and rummaging for food.

Please check out the fundraiser at the link below. If Yellowstone has brought you joy as it has us, please consider giving whatever you feel is appropriate. Anything helps.

Fail to Plan and You Plan to Fail by Cheryl This past October, my grandpa turned 90! Family from all over the world (Hungary, Mexico, Germany, and of course the United States) flew into Texas to celebrate this special time. It was the end of the travel season. I was burnt out from planning trips and outlining videos. I even bought my plane ticket with my personal credit card so I had no pressure to do anything YouTube related. This was a trip all about spending time with family, right? The...

The Official Kick-Off for the 2023 Travel Season has Begun by Cheryl The only constant is change and our national parks are no different. Between natural disasters, fluctuations in tourism, and vehicle reservation systems, a trip to the national parks is a bit more complex than throwing your tent in the car and hitting the road. Matt and I started writing itineraries to the parks in the West in 2020 and have since been part of helping thousands of people experience their dream trips. Even...
